Business Rocks will rock Manchester this April.
It is a tech start-up event like you have never seen before: it is vibrant, young, extravagant and bold. It is not just pitching, showcasing and exhibiting; it is also pub-crawls, after-dark sessions, off-site networking, live music and partying.
In short, it is a Start-Up and Innovation Festival Manchester style.
Already known as a leader in creative and media businesses, Manchester is Europe’s second largest media hub with such giants as the BBC and ITV based in the city-region and a spreading business network of digital content creation companies.
Broadcast media, digital creativity and design are the key elements of Manchester’s success. But that’s not where the city is willing to stop.
Manchester: a Playground for Tech Innovators
Manchester is forging its reputation as a tech hub, a magnet for tech start-ups and creative thinkers, and a cool city to work, innovate, study, do business and live. That’s where Business Rocks comes in.
Business Rocks is going to rock Manchester big time.
Over 5000 founders, innovators, investors, mentors and ambitious makers of the future are gathering together in Manchester to shake up the technology market, including one of the most exciting guests of the show – a person who was at the root of Apple – Steve Wozniak.
Business Rocks is going to be bright and intense. The organizers have ambitiously fitted a week’s worth of events in a 48-hour do. Mind you, there will be no breaks!
Two days of the summit will see dozens of exciting events. Over 300 exhibitors and start-ups will be showcasing their projects. The participants and visitors will have access to workshops, master-classes, surgeries and demos. There will be over 100 world-class international speakers.
Five stages will be hosting theme events: Developer, Headline, Investor, Master Class, and Innov8 Pitch-Battle.
Live music, 3 After-Dark Summits across Manchester’s coolest clubs and bars, global Hackathon with a “Tech for Good” Theme, – and that’s not the end of it yet.
And a Pinch of Politics
Jazz and ale aside, there will be some serious discussions on political issues that are tearing out country apart right now: In or Out?
Where does the tech community stand on the European Union?
Business Rocks will be hosting a live televised debate chaired by leading UK journalist, discussing the possible outcomes and implications of UK’s referendum for technology and digital industries. High profile political leaders and journalist will be sharing their opinions and at the end Business Rocks will be asked to vote.
